Annie, How many times do the kids play in the messy stuff, wash their hands, then go back to play again?? Mine seem to be doing this more and more lately, I know it's not because they have sensory issues with the material, I think it's just because they want to wash those little hands over and over. I don't mind the big kids, but the little ones (that need to be helped with the whole process) it is beginning to hurt my back ;) Any suggestions?? Do you have this problem?? I don't know if I should curtail it or allow them to do it... Thanks... Michelle, with her aching back :)
Hi Michelle! Good to see you :) and....yes!! They do it all the time. Depends on how many kids I have. If there are only a few I will let them do the washing...If I have a whole bunch at the table at the same time I tell them once they wash their hands, they are done. It is a good activity..the washing hands. but having all 8 run to wash their hands gets a little silly. I am sure putting a water table next to the shaving cream would alleviate the washing hands....but that is a whole other mess!!! my sink is low...so they can do it themselves. The sink is My 3 little 2 year olds favorite spot!!
Thank Annie!! I agree, my littlest guys absolutely love the sink. I have even tried the water table idea, but they love the running water from the sink. I think I will try to give them a little more access to the sink when I can, it is a lot of fun. Thanks!! Oh, I love your playhouse!!!
