Rainbow roses next day

Even deeper color today!

Rainbow roses :)

It didn't take long for these white roses to turn color! This morning at circle time, We talked about what might happen to the white roses when put into colored water. When they woke up from nap time..... Surprise!!! everyone, including teachers, were so excited!!

We hung rainbow colored ribbon in the tree today.... The dancing and laughter and excitement was heart warming.

Around the room

It's pumpkin season!!!! I got this great idea on the web about the alphabet pumpkin.... The kids love that!! Also the glue :)) yes.... Dripping glue at the age of 2 is way more important than the pumpkin picture :) helps develop those writing muscles! Oh... And the peeling of the stickers.... Good eye-hand coordination. We have also been matching our numbers. They are getting good at that!!
I have moved things around.... The block area is smaller :( but not as much traffic goes through there now, so builders can build better without interruption :))

one thousand dollar bedroom

If you want to know what is going on in a child's world, give them some paper and a pencil. I already knew that Loralei's family is building a house. This is very exciting for her and a huge part of what is going on in her life. Here she is telling us about the 'plans' as she is drawing them out. Hayden also wants to join in with the excitement so she is creating her own. I love how they stop and listen to each other. They are trying to get me involved, but I am trying to just listen to the stories they have for each other and how they react. I am in love with how they talk stuff out with each other and are genuinely excited and interested in each other....well, sort of. They at least pretend to listen so they can have their turn to share :))

Buds

These two are so cute together! The thing that made me laugh..... Was that at 4.5 months old, the girl is already talking the boys ears off.... Who looks a little stunned!!

Beads

We brought out beads. Our fake wood floor makes a perfect surface for making bead waves, designs, and NOISE!! Sounds a little like a big rain storm in here. Fun fun!!!

We had turkey sloppy Jo's, blueberries, banana, & orange salad, and cucumber...... Jake ate every piece of his sloppy Jo, except the meat! He ate the bun on one side, then flipped it over to eat the other side of the bun. Clever boy!!!

Hahaha.... I put the sand drawer in the closet!! We were running out of room (adding the light table) so cleared out the closet!! HA!! They like the little hidden sand drawer. Shhhh......
