Penguin Craft

Cute. Just cute.

I don't do the P.P.s (Parent Pleaser Projects) very often...and I know you do love them...but I just wanted to show Quinns. I could cut out his version of the penguin and send it home (and if you want me to I will) but usually it just goes to recycling. I wanted to show...that just because things don't come home doesn't mean we aren't doing them. He is such a creater! He sat here doing this for about 25 minutes or so...and when I say he stratigically placed the eyes...he did. He would move them around until he liked how they sat there, and then he would paint, then move the eyes around, and paint some more.

And Olivia LOVED doing her penguin...but I always feel bad when I have to help them. We used hot glue and I had to help her glue all the things on. But she did all the designing and loves it.

penguin on iceberg game

This game is pretty fun...although the surrounding area...and people...can get pretty wet. I love that the penguins slip off the ice...It is a little like the balance game that the penguins actually go to. Ice is so much fun!

Penguins

Quinn is telling the Mr. Polar Bear all about life....
Sugar cubes make great ice blocks....what happens when you put water on them?? Anna is lining them up and Quincy is squirting....

These two made up a great game. They would line up the penguins on the icebergs and then squirt them off with the squirters.

How many penguins in the box?

Here is our little math table. Connor just finished putting the penguin puzzle together. There was a penguin game...where you had to balance the penguins on the iceberg...but they took them to the real ice....

H is for Hats....

Big H, little h, what begins with Hh?
Our writing table...Hat graphing....these little hats were made out of 'lost' socks. Just kidding...I know what you are thinking. (If you are missing socks check cubbies and project drawers or the bottom left hand drawer) I cut them in half...tied the tops or put on pom poms and presto...mini hats.
which category has more? Less? the same?Newspaper Hats....My Hat it has 3 corners, 3 corners has my Hat. And had it not 3 corners, it would not be my Hat!
I typed this up and they had to find and circle the big H and the little h and then we taped it to our hats.
