Pumpkin patch....

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday....and the kids are creating their version :)

Back to School......

Today we start our back to school theme......One of the books I start with is 'if you take a mouse to school'....which is why we have mice around :) Elsie is matching up the mice and counting.

We later started out making school buses. We started with a yellow rectangle and some black circles and squares. The kids took the project from there. I like to offer glue and tape. The kids love tape! Nathan made a school bus...then wanted to make a city bus, which he is doing here....and then he made a helicopter with the blades and all! Love it!!                          

Connor is enjoying cutting! He loves to cut. He had an idea using all squares. If you notice he added his two wheels to the bottom of the blue paper. Awesome work!!

Elsie was very into glueing....Love it Else!!!

Story boarding camping

Nate is very interested in camping. So we did story boarding today to get ready for next week. I put 'camping' in the middle and asked what they thought about camping. i also asked if there was anything they wanted to learn about camping. I prompted nothing else. Here is their board. We will visit it over the next few weeks to add things if they want.

My shadow is in front of me.... Hey! Now my shadow is behind me!! Evan has also found his shadow! He would look at it, look away, look at it, look away. That is one smart lil 14 month old!!!!

Leigh is soooo happy!!! 45 minutes of jumping and dancing in the water!!

We did it!! We got wet today!! So fun!!

 I added running water to the edge of the sandbox and it filled, and filled, and filled up!! Rivers!!!! yelled the kids! Oh how I love warm sunny days and water.

 While the older ones dove right in....the younger ones watched and processed and slowly tried it out.

 Nathan...of course...jumped right into the middle. He was in little kid heaven!! Surrounded by water, mud, rivers, boats, buckets, and dump trucks......

 jumping in puddles is a must!!

 Leigh was also with such joy. Jumping over and over and over. Sooooo happy!!!!
