around the room....

Remember light bright? Great for eye hand/small motor control. I have 2 that I set out so they can work side by side (sometimes copying what the other has done), but these two just love to push them in wherever. Working on writing. Ashley and Jesse are pretty good at writing their name and Olivia is just learning. I am trying to get the older ones to copy down other words they see around the room.

Oatmeal.....

Hammers and nails. These are a favorite...not of mine however. They LOVE to bang and hit and make as much noise as possible. I leave these out (because they do love them so) as long as my little head can handle them and then they go away for awhile. I usually last about a week.

Happy Birthday Dawson!

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Dawson,
Happy Birthday to you!

I want him....

I want him, I want him, I want him! His name is Harley and he is 2 weeks old. Soooo cute and a step brother of Boomer. Check out his Mama....soooo pretty! If I didn't have 8 little kiddos, 3 pretty much teenagers, a husband, and a very active puppy already....Harley would be mine. I love the red! www.harborgirlcockapoos.com

Sewing Ducks

I cut out duck shapes out of cardstock and punched holes around the edge. I wrapped tape around the end of the yarn to make it like a shoelace. Then we sewed......and sewed.....
and sewed..... and sewed.....
and sewed.....
They loved it.
We will have to do that with flowers next week!

Our Room

Our room changes every couple of weeks. I bring new things in depending on the theme and take things out that the kids tend not to go to as much. I keep all my stuff in the garage and one of these days I will post a picture of it....my husbands nightmare! I not only change out toys but tables, chairs, and housekeeping stuff. My room is split in half....the part you are looking at holds the housekeeping, blocks, writing area, listening center, workjobs, a slide, our book/circletime rug, and the sign in sheet/coat rack. The other half is the messy room. This area has 4-5 tables with paints, crafts, sensory bin, playdough, light table, and the paint easel.

We nap in my room. Everyone has their own mat and blanket except the two youngest ones who lay on my bed. I lay on the bed and play on my computer until everyone is asleep....or about 1/2 an hour and then if anyone is still awake they get up with me.
And this is where we eat....I should fix those pictures....We use child sized plates, silverware, and paper cups. I use paper cups to help with the non spreading of germs. We eat breakfast 8:00am, snack10:00, lunch12:00, and snack3:00. I serve healthy well rounded meals.....okay...those pictures are really bugging me, I am going to fix them right now! And....yes, my chairs are all different..except the 2 blue ones. I usually get them at thrift stores or garage sales. I am a little eclectic that way....and the kids just love to fight over who gets which one. hmmmm. If any one has an all wood chair that could (I say 'could' because I have bought all these chairs with the intent to paint them up real cool...but never have) be painted, and doesn't want it anymore, I would love to have it!

Around the room...

playin bed time with their babies...
Geo boards...."look what I made!" "I made a square" "I made a triangle" "I'm makin a house" "I'm makin a boat" "I have lot's of squares" A love of wheels and things that go....

Crackin and cookin up some eggs...fry 'en them in a pan. Yellow and Red make.....nooo, not a mess.....

outside play

He sits...waiting patiently for a nibble. Quite a while he was sitting here. I waited...patiently to see what would happen. YES! And it's a big one.

Boomer.... The stairs....As long as I have had my home daycare, the kids have loved these stairs. They sit on them, draw on them, walk, run, and jump up and down on them. But, their favorite thing to do is either ride or push something down them. Mothers and Fathers are mortified....But I guarantee...For the last 10 years...not one child has hurt themselves riding a bike down these stairs. They have a path they follow. Up the driveway, behind the big bush, down the stairs, along the walkway, and back up the driveway. It does look a little frightening at first, but the most that ever happens is they tip to the side into my flowers. The new bikes I have are great!...I just ordered 2 more. They don't tip. Home For Sale

I have a stack of 2'4s in the yard for the kids to move around and build with. Today they made a house, washed it (paintbrushes and water) and then decorated it with chalk. Connors mom (realeastate agent), brought over a for sale sign.....thank you! The kids love it. Working together to build.....Working together to 'wash'....
Working together to paint and decorateto and to get ready for the big sale.
They all working on this for hours....changing and rearanging. It was great to watch.

Outside play

READY...

SET....

GO!
These 2 play so cute together! They were sitting here on the rocks 'talking' to each other.
Havin snack on one of our nice days....
I was pruning my hydrangia and they were taking all the pieces I cut off. "Annie, Annie, come see our garden!" They 'planted' them all into the bare spot in front of the door. They were very proud of their garden. He has been working on his zipper all day. When we go outside I will zip it up. Unziiiip. He will then spend about 5 minutes trying to zip it back up before he comes to me. I zip it up...Unziiip. Another 10 minutes later he is back. One of these days he will figure it out!
oops...a little sideways and I cannot figure out how to turn it.
